LeCont is an Italian company specialized in the production of competition tyres for karts and racing cars with high-performance compounds. Founded in 1993 in Rovereto, Trentino-Alto Adige, by brothers Sergio and Valter Cont, motorsport enthusiasts, LeCont made its debut with immediate success in the karting and motor racing markets, establishing itself as one of the main leading tyre manufacturers CIK-FIA approved for karting at a national and international level, winning numerous FIA and WSK championships such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans Karting and the Pikes Peak Hill Climb thanks to high quality, innovative and high-performance ISO certified products. LeCont is committed to innovation, investing in new technologies to remain at the forefront of respect for the environment such as the introduction of RFID technology, dynamic bench testing and Greentire disposal. Through a research and development laboratory, LeCont employs expert engineers and technicians in developing new compounds for a range of tyres designed for different karting competitions for the best teams and drivers in the world. With a global presence in the world in over 30 countries and an annual production of more than 100.000 tyres, LeCont is committed to promoting motorsport and driving tyre safety in schools with research projects in collaboration with universities.
