Logan Sargeant KFJ World Champion!
27/09/2015
There was none for anyone. The American Logan Sargeant dominated the 2015 KFJ World Championship, held at the magnificent La Conca (Lecce) facility, winning his first world title in karting. Sargeant (FA - Vortex - LeCont), who had missed the pole position, conquered by the Finnish Konsta Lappalainen, then proved unapproachable in the rest of the event. First in the qualifying phase (in which he won all the heats except one, in which he finished fourth), then also in the prefinal and finally in the final. The scheme has always remained unchanged: starting in the lead by sprinting best of all, the Ricky Flynn Motorsport driver took a certain advantage from the first laps, then crossing the finish line alone in the lead without ever being threatened by his pursuers. His was, therefore, a total domination of the event, concretized with an undoubtedly deserved world title.
Sargeant - who declared that he wanted to continue his career in karting by moving to the KF category - preceded the French-Swiss-British Clément Novalak (Tony Kart - Vortex - LeCont) and the Brazilian Caio Collet (Tony Kart - Vortex - LeCont) climbed to the final podium, alongside Sargeant.
99 pilots representing 23 nations took part in the race.
